action

The pretty, young, Italian goatherd Marisa is an enthusiastic hobby singer. At this time, the smart composer Guido Terni is currently in Marisa's village to compose songs for the upcoming revue in peace and quiet. He listens to Marisa's favorite song en passant and virtually steals it from her ear to use it for his revue. Meanwhile, her friend Tonio is drafted into the military and joins the Italian Navy. Marisa then accepts an offer from Ternis Boss, the theater director. He thinks the girl is a great talent and persuades her to sing professionally.

Marisa follows him to Rome, where the manager promises to turn the country innocence into a big star. For Marisa this is the opportunity to get closer to famous people. In this way she hopes to be able to actively support Marcello Ponella, the father of her lover who is aiming for a candidacy for mayor. There are now numerous entanglements with the usual ingredients of love banter, scenes of jealousy, misunderstandings and final reconciliations. In the end, however, the happy ending is inevitable, and Marisa not only gets her love, but can also assert herself as a pop singer.

Reviews

Paimann's film lists summed up: “Once again a plot minimum, not very convincing and only an occasion for intermezzi and parody fragments of the revue. Hardly imaginative but prepared in an attractive southern landscape, with sympathetic actors ... "

"Dull Schnulze for Schlager fans."
