history

Until the church is planted

Erlbach is part of the Burghausen Rent Office and the Altötting Regional Court of the Electorate of Bavaria . In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , the municipality of Erlbach was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .

Community merger

Today's community was created on January 1, 1970 by merging the community of Erlbach with the previously independent community of Endlkirchen .

Mayoress

Monika Meyer ( Independent Voting Association ) has been mayor since May 1, 2020 ; she was the only applicant and was elected on March 15, 2020 with 94.92% of the vote. Her predecessor was Franz Watzinger (Independent Erlbacher List) from May 2008 to April 2020; he was no longer a candidate in 2020.

Municipal council

After the last local election on March 15, 2020 , the local council has twelve members. The turnout was 75.4% (2014: 63.55%). There was only the nomination of the Independent Voting Community Erlbach, whose twelve applicants with the most votes received the mandates for the next six years. In the 2014 to 2020 term of office, the Independent Erlbacher List received all twelve seats.

Another member and chairman of the municipal council is the mayor.

Economy including agriculture and forestry

In 1998, according to official statistics, there were no employees at the place of work in the manufacturing sector and in the trade and transport sector either. There were 357 employees at the place of residence subject to social security contributions. There was one company in the manufacturing and construction industries. In addition, in 1999 there were 117 farms with an agriculturally used area of ​​1925 ha, of which 1015 ha were arable land.

Sports

The sports club SV Erlbach is one of the largest clubs in town. The first men's soccer team has been playing in the Bayernliga Süd since the 2015/2016 season. There is also a second and a third men's team. A women's team first took part in matches in 2006/2007. All youth teams from youth A to youth F are in play with at least one team.

Another big club in town are the sport shooters Hubertus Erlbach. Air rifles and air pistols are shot here.
