Halsbach is the smallest municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Altötting and a member of the Kirchweidach administrative community .

history
Until the church is planted
Halsbach belonged to the Counts of Preysing , but was part of the Electorate of Bavaria. Halsbach was part of the Preysing rule forest . In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , the municipality of Halsbach was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .
Community merger
Today's community was created on January 1, 1964 by merging the communities of Halsbach and Oberzeitlarn .
Population development
Between 1988 and 2018 the municipality grew from 855 to 961 by 106 inhabitants or by 12.4%.

Mayor has been Martin Poschner (independent) since May 1, 2014; in the re-election on March 15, 2020, he received 83.47% of the votes.
Municipal council
After the last local election on March 15, 2020 , the local council has eight members, all of whom belong to the Unity list . The turnout was 70.8%. Another member and chairman of the municipal council is the mayor.

Economy including agriculture and forestry
In 1998, according to official statistics, there were seven in the field of agriculture and forestry, 31 in the manufacturing sector and nine in the trade and transport sector at the place of work. In other economic sectors, eight people were employed at the place of work subject to social security contributions. There were a total of 277 employees at the place of residence subject to social security contributions. There were three companies in the manufacturing sector and one in the construction sector. In addition, in 1999 there were 57 farms with an agricultural area of 1008 ha, of which 1147 ha were arable land.
