Ernst Christian Breßler , since 1798 von Breßler (born January 29, 1784 in Soldau ; † June 28, 1849 in Erfurt ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

Ernst was a son of the Prussian major Samuel von Breßler (1742–1799) and his wife Helene, née Funck (1745–1820). His father was on July 6, 1798 by King Friedrich Wilhelm III. was raised to the hereditary Prussian nobility .

Military career

After visiting the Kulm Cadet House, Breßler was employed on January 1, 1796 as a Junker in the "von Czettritz" hussar regiment of the Prussian Army , in which his father also served.
