The Ferlacher Badesee (coll. Usually called Ressnig-Teich ) is a bathing lake in the extreme south of Austria . It is located on the right bank of the Drau in the area of the city of Ferlach . The closest village, a few hundred meters to the southeast, is the Ferlach district of Reßnig. To the north of the lake, on the opposite bank of the Drau, is Maria Rain and about 10 km away is Klagenfurt .

The lake is an average of 6 and a maximum of 10 meters deep and is fed exclusively by groundwater. It was created in 1976 in connection with the damming of the Drau to the Ferlacher reservoir , which was created when the Ferlach-Maria Rain run-of-river power station was built. It is separated from the Drau on the north side by the dam of the reservoir, the only surface drainage of the lake flows into the Kleine Drau .

The hygienic water quality of the lake is very good due to the permeable soil structure and the associated high level of groundwater renewal, the water quality is classified as oligotrophic .
