Finkbeiner's birthday is a detective radio play of the series of radio crime scene . The original text comes from Hugo Rendler , who for the first time continued the Stuttgart investigator duo designed by Friedrich Ani and Uta-Maria Heim and Christine Lehmann for Südwestrundfunk , chief detective Nina Brändle and senior detective Xaver Finkbeiner. Finkbeiner's birthday first aired on March 11, 2010. In addition to the main actors, other well-known speakers and actors appeared with Buddy Elias , Oliver Wnuk , Lars Rudolph , Thomas Thieme , Christian Koerner and Walter Renneisen .
The present 27th case of the entire series and fifth case of the Stuttgart crime scene primarily revolves around the escape of three criminals from the Stuttgart-Stammheim correctional facility and their kidnapping of a taxi driver and vehicle.
content
The fifth case of the Baden-Wuerttemberg State Office of Criminal Investigation in Stuttgart leads the stoic and taciturn South Baden chief criminal Xaver Finkbeiner as a profiler in Department 8, "Operative Case Analysis", and his colleague, the verbose and rough- hewn Swabian , Chief Detective Nina Brändle, this time on an unusual case, in which the abductee is also suspected and Brändle has to rescue her colleague from a dangerous situation, as in the case of Himmelreich and Höllental .
In view of the initial situation, the joint outbreak of a junkie , a killer and a bank robber from the Stuttgart-Stammheim correctional facility , one wonders why the police chief requests the unorthodox profiling team.
However, since they stole the taxi from taxi driver Menner, additional considerations arise. Because Menner's criminal record seems to be as long as his forearm. Is he connected to the three fugitives? Do the perpetrator profiles reveal a possible common plan of the criminals?
The police finally found Menner's taxi in a Park & Ride car park and jewelry in the trunk, estimated at 120,000 euros . This seems to confirm the assumptions. However, you can neither find Menner's sledgehammer , which he usually carried there with him, nor a firearm left behind in the vehicle. Meanwhile, the escaped prisoners continue to flee towards Switzerland .
For Detective Chief Inspector Nina Brändle, events roll over when her colleague is taken hostage while shopping at a supermarket robbery on his day off in Loerrach , when he wanted to celebrate his birthday with his demented father . You can already guess who the hostage-takers are when the circumstances are linked.
background
After the first two radio crime scenes from Stuttgart, Himmelreich and Höllental and Mordlauf , both of which came from the pen of Christine Lehmann, and the third case, Falsches Herz , in which Friedrich Ani and Uta-Maria Heim designed the text, came here Hugo Rendler as an author for the first time . In general, almost the entire crew changed in this case: Mark Ginzler took over the direction from Günter Maurer and Ulrich Bassenge was responsible for the music for the first time , after Arndt Wirth had previously contributed the compositions. The drama took over as the first two episodes Uta-Maria Heim. For the author Hugo Rendler, who comes from the southern Black Forest, this radio crime scene was his third crime radio play after Harry Haller's first corpse ( SDR , 1993) and Sudden Cardiac Death (SDR, 1994). Here he also appeared in a guest speaker role. Oliver Wnuk , who speaks Jörger , completed the recurring guest role of Torsten Brenner in the ARD radio crime scenes of the NDR by Matthias Wittekindt , Tod einer Diver (2009) and Störtebeker's Rache (2010) .
Writer and dramaturge Uta-Maria Heim on the cast: “One is a lazy Black Forest citizen, the other a talkative city dweller: That doesn't work at all. Xaver Finkbeiner and Nina Brändle are like fire and water. Or vice versa, as the name Brändle suggests. With Ueli Jäggi and Karoline Eichhorn we have found the ideal cast. The Finkbeiner was conceived directly on Jäggi and I am very happy that we were able to win him over to the series. And Karoline Eichhorn is a wonderful counterpart . "
In the first two episodes, Nina Brändle was still significantly restricted in her mobility due to a serious motorcycle accident she had suffered three years earlier and had to use walking aids as well as a wheelchair accessible car, but this has changed significantly in the later episodes. Even back then, to the shock of her boss Finkbeiner, who would prefer to pursue his purely intuitive manner in the field service on his own, she was astonishingly mobile and loved to push her boss forward, now her physical agility has almost been restored. She now drives a smaller Ducati and is also back in martial arts .
This time the Stuttgart crime scene took place in Stuttgart-Stammheim and in Lörrach . For the first time, the case starts from the perspective of Brändle, who initially has to do without her boss, who is on vacation.
Reviews
- “With the first crime scene of the SWR from the pen of Christine Lehmann it became clear that one could be able to set a qualitative highlight here. The duo Finkbeiner / Brändle is not only very entertaining because of the fixed regional connection, but above all the cases know how to convince. "
- "The first SWR-Radiotatort of 2010 is packed tightly. That pretty much crushes the plot, because here - at least for the contemplative narrative - things are a bit too turbulent (sic!). The individual strands converge, but the connections are constructed a little too implausibly. This is particularly noticeable when it comes to the fact that Finkbeiner was the inspector who arrested one of the fugitive prisoners. This element does not have a great additional effect on the story, but works so hard that it is much more disturbing than useful. As with the content, there is also light and shadow in the implementation. The former includes the great ensemble. In addition to the two protagonists Brändle and Finkbeiner, who are already practiced by Karoline Eichhorn and Ueli Jäggi , there is also a lot worth listening to in the rest of the cast. An interesting supporting role is introduced with Finkbeiner's father. Buddy Elias lends his voice to the older gentleman quoting Heidegger . This character has potential for more, even if it is almost overused in this episode. The theatrical highlight of the series is the crook trio. With Thomas Thieme , Lars Rudolph and Christian Koerner , three actors have been found here who offer really good performance. Walter Renneisen is also very much worth hearing as the President of the Police frantically on the phone .. "
- "Since then, all of the state broadcasters have been broadcasting the new ARD Radio Tatort once a month, using the creative potential of their best crime writers and attracting additional attention to the traditional radio art form of radio play. The radio Tatort has now reached an audience of millions, and the high number of hits on the Internet (www.radiotatort.ard.de) confirms the acceptance of these thrillers. "
- “In the media in which the references to radio broadcasts, if any, could only be found with a magnifying glass, radio is being heard again. And the reviews - no matter how they turn out - they are even detailed! "
