The 2015/16 season was the 28th edition of the women's ice hockey Bundesliga in Germany . The league was carried out by the German Ice Hockey Federation . The season of the main round began with its first day of play on September 26, 2015 and ended on March 6, 2016. The ECDC Memmingen women's team won the German championship title for the first time in the club's history .
mode
As in the previous season, the Bundesliga clubs initially played a double round . The winner of the double round will be the German champion. The previous three-point rule will be retained, so that if you win in regular time, the winner receives three points and the loser receives no point at all. In the event of a tie after regular time, both teams received one point each. The winner of the subsequent penalty shootout received an additional point.
