Manuela Anwander (born January 9, 1992 in Graefelfing ) is a German ice hockey player who was last under contract with the ECDC Memmingen in the women's ice hockey Bundesliga .

Career

Manuela Anwander began playing ice hockey in 1999 and came to this sport through her uncle and mother. From 2007 she played for the ESC Planegg in the women's ice hockey Bundesliga , after having previously worked in the junior division of the EV Landsberg . By 2012, she played in parallel for Planegg in the Bundesliga and Landsberg in the Junior and Youth League, in between from December 2009 half a season for the DHC Langenthal in the Swiss Performance Class A . During this time she was a corporal of the Bundeswehr sports promotion group. With the ESC Planegg she won two German championships , once the DEB Women's Cup and the EWHL Super Cup 2011/12 .

Manuela Anwander took part in the U18 World Championships in 2008 , 2009 and 2010 in the junior division. At the age of 16, she took part with the women's national team at the World Championships in Harbin , where she finished ninth in the national selection.

In 2011 she made it to the top division with the women's national team at the World Cup of Division I. In 2012, she moved to ERC Ingolstadt , where she was preparing for the 2014 Winter Olympics with Maritta Becker and Andrea Lanzl . At the 2013 World Cup , she reached fifth place with the national team.

Most recently she held the rank of bargain lifer . After the 2014 Winter Olympics, in which the German women's team took seventh place, she left the armed forces and began training as an educator.

During the 2014/15 season Manuela Anwander took a break and initially only trained at ECDC Memmingen before playing as a goalkeeper in two games for the ECDC (29 minutes ice time). In 2016 she won her fourth German championship title with the ECDC.

In 2017 and 2018 she won the DEB Cup with the ECDC Memmingen, and in 2018 she reached her fifth German championship. Then she ended her career.
