Glen Goodall (born January 22, 1970 in Fort Nelson , British Columbia ) is a former German - Canadian ice hockey player who played between 1999 and 2010 at ERC Ingolstadt in the German Ice Hockey League .
Career
The 1.71 m tall center began his professional career in the Canadian Junior League WHL , where he was on the ice for the Seattle Thunderbirds until 1990 . As early as the 1988 NHL Entry Draft , the right-shooter was selected in the tenth round in 206th place by the Detroit Red Wings , but did not complete an NHL game and was only used in the various farm teams of the Red Wings in the minor leagues . After playing for the Flint Spirits and the San Diego Gulls from the International Hockey League , the Adirondack Red Wings and the Binghamton Rangers from the American Hockey League and the Erie Panthers from the East Coast Hockey League , the Canadian moved to Europe for the first time in 1993 , where he was signed a contract with EHC Klostersee from the league .
Between 1994 and 1996 Goodall played his first DEL games for the cooperation partners Starbulls Rosenheim and Schwenninger Wild Wings , but initially switched from the now promoted EHC Klostersee to the league competitor Deggendorfer EC . For the 1999/00 season the Canadians, who now holds German citizenship signed a contract with ERC Ingolstadt with which he in 2002 rose to the DEL and finally in 2005 the German Ice Hockey Cup won.
He ended his career after the 2009/10 season. In his final season he only played 35 games due to a serious injury. With the Panthers he reached the playoff semi-finals, where they were eliminated against the Hanover Scorpions. Goodall's jersey with the number 96 was pulled under the roof of the hall when he was saying goodbye and his number will never be given again at ERC Ingolstadt.
