Greek prose writers in new translations
Greek prose writers in new translations is the title of a translation series that was edited by Gottlieb Lukas Friedrich Tafel (1787–1860), Christian Nathanael Osiander (1781–1855) and Gustav Schwab (1792–1850) from 1826 to 1869 in Metzler-Verlag appeared in Stuttgart . The series with German translations of classics of Greek literature comprises a total of 355 volumes.
The three editing professors Tafel, Osiander and Schwab also published: Greek poets in new metric translations (1-75), Roman poets in new metric translations (1–77) and Roman prose writers in new translations (1–242).
