The University of Applied Sciences Neu-Ulm (short Neu-Ulm University - until February 2008 Fachhochschule Neu-Ulm ) is an economically and internationally oriented University of Applied Sciences , in 1994 as a department of the University of Kempten in Neu-Ulm was founded. The Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences has been independent since October 1st, 1998.

The university offers bachelor, master and MBA courses in the fields of business, computer science, design and communication, health care and technology. The courses are divided into three faculties and a center for in-service training.

Locations

The Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences has been housed in a new building on the Wiley site in the Ludwigsfeld district of Neu-Ulm since 2008 . All lecture halls, seminar rooms, offices and central facilities are located on one campus. The nearby Edison Center houses additional offices and lecture halls for the economics and information management faculties. From 2013 to 2018, the health management faculty was relocated to the former university building in Neu-Ulmer Steubenstrasse. In September 2018, an extension was opened right next to the main building, so that with the 2018/2019 winter semester all courses and faculties are once again united on campus. The construction took three years, is about half the size of the main building and, in addition to the additional space, also includes 460 new parking spaces in order to relieve the adjacent residential area. Around 26 million euros were invested in the expansion.

Together with the universities of applied sciences in Augsburg and Kempten, the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences has been operating the Vöhlinschloss University Center in Illertissen since 2009 . The universities use the meeting and convention center for seminars, training courses, conferences and for advice on setting up a business.

Others

The Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences is a member of the MedienCampus Bayern , the umbrella organization for media education and training in Bavaria.

On February 13, 2008, the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences changed its name to HNU - Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences | University of Applied Sciences and gradually introduced a new corporate design during the summer semester of 2008 .

In 2012, the first Lions Club Campus at a German university was founded at the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences. Its aim is to promote social and community engagement at and around the university.

In 2010, the Neu-Ulm University Library took part in the BIX library ranking - and won the title of second-best German university library .
