The Hammfeld is a municipality of Neuss and includes the commercial areas Hammfeld I Hammfeld II and the Rheinpark Center, which was built in the 1980s and is one of the economically most important parts of the city of Neuss. Since the district is characterized by trade, only 1,735 inhabitants live in the 4.09 km² area, with 39.8% foreigners.

In addition to the commercial areas and service centers, the Neuss horse racing track with the racing track park opened in 2010 is also located in Hammfeld . The Rheinpark of EUROGA 2002 is located directly on the Rhine meadows .

Also in the district, the medicoreha Welsink Academy, with its state-recognized technical schools for physiotherapy and occupational therapy, offers over 300 training positions and the dual bachelor's degree in "Applied Therapy Sciences" in cooperation with the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences . With the vocational college for technology and information technology Neuss there is also a vocational school sponsored by the Rhein-Kreis-Neuss, which is attended by more than 2,000 students.

Planning

It is planned to build a new light rail line, the U81 , from Düsseldorf Airport to Neusser Hammfeld. As an alternative, various bus routes are planned.
