Men's handball world championship 2021 / qualification
The qualification for the men's handball world championship 2021 will take place in 2019 and 2020. For the first time, 32 final round places will be awarded. Denmark as world champions 2019 and Egypt as hosts are automatically qualified .

Africa
The Confédération Africaine de Handball (CAHB) provides seven participants, including the host country Egypt, who will be determined at the 2020 African Championship . The championship took place from January 15 to 26, 2020 in Tunisia as a tournament.
Qualified for the 2021 World Cup are:
- Egypt (hosts 2021 and Africa champions 2020)
- Tunisia (second in the Africa Cup of Nations 2020)
- Algeria (third in the Africa Cup of Nations 2020)
- Angola (fourth in the 2020 African Championship)
- Cape Verde (fifth in the 2020 African Cup of Nations)
- Morocco (sixth in the 2020 African Championship)
- Democratic Republic of the Congo (Seventh Africa Cup of Nations 2020)
America
The South and Central American Handball Association (SCAHC) provides four participants who will be determined at the South and Central American Championship 2020 . The championship took place in league form in Brazil from January 21 to 25, 2020 .
Qualified for the 2021 World Cup are:
- Argentina (1st South and Central American Championship 2020)
- Brazil (2nd South and Central American Championship 2020)
- Uruguay (3rd South and Central American Championship 2020)
The winner of the Nor.Ca. Handball Championship 2020 also qualifies for the Handball World Championship 2020. The tournament will take place from March 31 to April 5, 2020.
Asia / Oceania
Asia provides four participants who were determined at the Asia Cup 2020 . The tournament took place in Kuwait from January 16-27, 2020 .
Qualified for the 2021 World Cup are:
- Qatar (semi-finalist Asia Cup 2020)
- Japan (semi-finalist Asia Cup 2020)
- Bahrain (semi-finalist Asia Cup 2020)
- Korea (semi-finalist Asia Cup 2020)
Europe
Europe provided a total of 13 participants in the World Cup. Denmark are automatically qualified as world champions 2019 and the three best teams of the European handball championship 2020 . The remaining ten participants should have been determined in a qualification. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the play-off games were canceled and the ten best-placed teams of the European Handball Championship 2020 qualified for the tournament. On July 9, 2020, the handball associations of Poland and Russia received a wild card. The following 16 teams are qualified for the 2021 World Cup:
