Harold I. Goss

Harold I. Goss (born November 12, 1882 in Kennebunk , Maine , † May 25, 1962 , Gardiner , Maine) was an American lawyer and politician who was Secretary of State of Maine from 1942 to 1960 .

Life

Harold I. Goss was the son of Isaac W. and Elizabeth N. Wentworth Goss. Goss was a lawyer and was admitted to the bar in 1909. As a member of the Republican Party , he was Secretary of State of Maine from 1942 to 1960. This makes him the one who has held this office the longest.

Goss was married to Ester LS Goss. He died on May 25, 1962. His grave is in Oak Grove Cemetery, Gardiner.
