Harvey Prize

The Harvey Prize (Harvey Prize) is an annual prize awarded by the Technion in Haifa in various disciplines that alternate in a cycle of five years, with two prizes being awarded each year:

  • First and Third Years: Two Awards in Science and Technology
  • Second and Fourth Years: One Prize in Science and Technology and one in Medicine and Health (Human Health)
  • Fifth year: an award in science and technology, an award for outstanding contributions to peace in the Middle East, or for outstanding contributions to the economy or society.

Each award is endowed with $ 75,000. It has been awarded since 1972. It is named after the industrialist (Harvey Machine Company in Los Angeles, Harvey Aluminum Company) and inventor Leo M. Harvey (1887–1973).
