Heinreichs has been an uninhabited cadastral community of Pölla in Lower Austria since January 1st, 1964 . with a base of 157.4 hectares. In order to be able to create the Döllersheim military training area , the residents were evacuated from 1938 onwards .

History and description

Heinreichs was a street and anger village on the road from Döllersheim to Neupölla in the valley of the Kleinmottner Bach.

The place was first mentioned in a document through the entry of a fiefdom in Heinreichs in the Zwettl monastery pension book around 1311 . In the 13th century, Heinreichs was the seat of a knight family. In the years 1258 and 1265, for example, a Herbordus de Heinriches appears as a witness on documents from Zwettl Abbey. As their successors, the Prantner were traceable here between 1371 and 1456. After several changes of ownership, the noble seat was badly damaged at the beginning of the Thirty Years War . Nine fiefs and three farms in the village were deserted.

In 1655 Johann Franz Freiherr von Lamberg acquired the property located at the end of the village facing Rausmann and had a stately castle built, which probably also fell victim to the fire of the Heinreichs in 1803. A simple yard was later built in its place.

In 1825 the local chapel was built by Heinreichs, which was looked after by the Döllersheim parish .

After the abolition of the manor in 1850 Heinrichs, Kleinmotten , Strones, Waldreichs , Zierings and Ottenstein united to form the Heinreichs community.

Since 1650 the church records for births and from 1654 also those for marriages and deaths have been kept by the parish Döllersheim.

In order to be able to set up the Döllersheim military training area, the population of Heinreichs was given until April 1, 1939, to leave the area consisting of 43 houses.
