Henning Schimke

Henning Schimke (born August 4, 1958 in Göttingen ) is a German actor and radio play speaker .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1978 at Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium in his hometown, Henning Schimke was trained as an actor at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media from 1980 to 1984 . He made his stage debut in the 1984/85 season at the Staatstheater Mainz , from 1986 to 1989 Schimke had an engagement at the Nationaltheater Mannheim , in 1989 and 1990 he played at the State Theaters in Kassel and Stuttgart . From 1992 to 1995 Schimke was engaged at the Theater Dortmund , between 2005 and 2007 he was on the stage of the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater in Hamburg. In 2007 he was a guest in the play Feelgood by the British author Alistair Beaton at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm , and in 2010 he embodied the 60-year-old Helmut Rahn in Dirk Schröter's play Das Fußballwunder von Bern in a production by the Theater im Rathaus in Essen .

Henning Schimke has also been working in front of the camera since the mid-1980s and has appeared in various episodes of the crime series Ein Fall für Zwei since 1984 , as well as in other well-known series, including Der kleine Mönch , Die Camper and Der Landarzt . In the series Der Ermittler , Schimke embodied the character of Benno Eickelkamp in 16 episodes . In addition, he has worked in numerous radio play productions for many years.

Henning Schimke completed a pioneer and explosives training with the Bundeswehr, has a taxi license and a driver's license for trucks up to 12 tons. He lives in Berlin.
