Mr. Stumpfes Zieh & Zupf Kapelle is a Swabian band that performs in Baden-Württemberg and neighboring countries ( France / Switzerland ).

She is the “ house band ” of the Mäulesmühle and the SWR programs “ Hannes & der Bürgermeister ”, “ Laible & Frisch ” and “Friends in the Mäulesmühle”.

Career

In 1991 the quartet had

first public appearances at the " Tour de Ländle " in Schwäbisch Gmünd . During a concert, Manfred “Manne” Arold joined the “Stumpfes”. They made street music in Stuttgart and Las Palmas . Michael "Flex" Flechsler joined the group at the 1992 New Year's Eve ball at the Aalen Theater and Jürgen Ziegelbauer left the chapel. Street music followed in Bologna and Riccione . In 1993 the group was successfully involved in the open-air performance in the Limes thermal baths in Aalen in the play "HEIMATLOS - a tavern opera in a frenzy" . Roland Schimmel was requisitioned as a manager and has been responsible for the business side of the band ever since.

1994 followed appearances in the series "Sprungbrettl" of the SDR . Due to a contact with theater director Albin Braig , the first television recording was made in his Komede - Scheuer Mäulesmühle . Since then there has been an intensive collaboration both in television productions and in joint guest performances. Since October 1996 the band has had a permanent engagement with the Mäulesmühle. Until August 1997 the program “D'r Hannes shall reikomma” was played three times a week. This was the gradual transition to professionalism. The first CD was produced in March: “Badenkele 'n' Klee” and soon afterwards the second CD “Unterwegs im Silberrausch” (Live). In 1998, SWR TV recorded a complete concert and broadcast a ½ hour band portrait. In 1999 they separated from Stephan Stumpf. Since then the band has continued to play with four people. The third CD "Drhoim" (studio production) was released as well as the fourth CD Frummzig (studio) on the newly founded label SPION-Music. By 2012 the “Stumpfes” had already sold 30,000 CDs.

A recording of the concert in the Nagold seminar hall was recorded by SWR in December 2001 and used for the 2003 DVD. In the new television program "Friends in the Mäulesmühle" with Albin Braig and Karlheinz Hartmann as moderators, the Stumpfes form a solid musical block as the house band. In 2005 the new CD “Be like you” was presented . A Bavaria tour followed in autumn and in December the band played at the Winterstimmen Festival in Lörrach together with colleagues from Alsace and Switzerland . In 2006 the Stumpfes recorded their soccer World Cup anthem “Wir haben eine Fahne” , which was released as a maxi single and as a contribution to the CD “Heimspiel” , the southern German contribution to the World Cup , and others. a. with Fools Garden , Die Kleine Tierschau , Christoph Sonntag and Tango Five . In the spring of 2007 the new live CD / DVD was released under the title “Stumpfes Live” . In the summer there was an appearance at the SWR 4 Listeners Festival in Mannheim's Luisenpark in front of around 40,000 visitors. Shortly before Christmas 2008 the seventh CD "Henderscheviersche" was released . The joint CD with Albin Braig and Karlheinz Hartmann "Dronda en dr scheena Au" was released in November 2009. In 2010 there was a tour program and recordings for the SWR television production "Friends in the Mäulesmühle" and in 2011 the CD "Wohlwär" was recorded in the sound studio Farmer Ludwigsburg . The albums “ Ogottogott ” (2014) and “ very even ” (2017) followed.

With their solo program, the four musicians go to concerts around 80 times a year with their own Swabian lyrics to their own or " borrowed " songs and play in front of an average of 500-800 spectators.

Hannes & the mayor

Since the start of the television recordings of " Hannes & der Bürgermeister ", Mr. Stumpfes Zieh & Zupf Kapelle has been an integral part of the episodes. The Swabian dialect musicians create the breaks between the individual scenes with musical pieces on mostly improvised musical instruments, for which they sing songs in Swabian dialect . They also accompany Hannes and the mayor when they appear in many cities in Baden-Württemberg.
