Hiram Lloyd

Hiram Lloyd ( July 27, 1875September 10, 1942 ) was an American politician . Between 1921 and 1925 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Missouri .

Career

The sources on Hiram Lloyd are very poor. What is certain is that he lived in St. Louis at least for a time and was a member of the Republican Party . In June 1908 he took part as a delegate at the Republican National Convention in Chicago , where William Howard Taft was nominated as a presidential candidate.

In 1920, Lloyd was elected Lieutenant Governor of Missouri alongside Arthur M. Hyde . He held this office between January 10, 1921 and January 12, 1925. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . In 1924 he unsuccessfully applied for the office of governor. After his time as Lieutenant Governor, he was no longer politically active. He died on September 10, 1942.
