action

Honey Daniels lives in New York and dreams of a career as a dancer. During the day she works in a record store, at night in New York dance clubs. There is also her hip-hop dance course in the "Center". Her mother, who wants to push Honey's enthusiasm for dancing towards ballet, shares her concern with Honey. However, Honey's excited friend Gina and the hairdresser Chaz stand behind her. When Honey is discovered one day by a video director and producer, her dream seems to be coming true. She is now choreographing music videos with great success until the director gets intrusive and Honey gives him a slap in the face. He then fires her and breaks off a music video project with the street kids Honey teaches dance classes. However, she tries to go on alone and wants to buy a dance studio with the proceeds from a benefit event, because it is now more important to her to help the kids from her neighborhood than to make a career. But the video producer's customer, a famous singer (Missy Elliott), only wants Honey as a choreographer. So he tries to get her back, but she refuses. At the end of the film you can see the kids performing at the benefit event, which is a complete success.
