IC 126 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type S in the constellation Cetus south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 266 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 70,000 ly in diameter. The galaxy is part of the Abell 194 cluster .
The galaxies NGC 564 , NGC 577 , IC 119 , IC 120 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered on January 6, 1891 by Stéphane Javelle .
