IC 115 is a lenticular galaxy of Hubble type S0 and an Edge-On object in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is around 577 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 85,000 light years .
The galaxy IC 113 is located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered on July 25, 1890 by the American astronomer Sherburne Wesley Burnham .
