IC 99 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sb in the constellation Cetus south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 661 million light years from the Milky Way and about 95,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxies IC 95 , IC 98 , IC 108 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on January 2, 1892 .
