IC 95 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E0 in the constellation Cetus south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 594 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 70,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies IC 98 , IC 99 , among others .
The object was discovered on November 3rd, 1891 by Stéphane Javelle .
