IC 2999 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type S in the constellation Ursa Major at the northern sky . It is estimated to be 311 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4062 , IC 2992 , IC 3007 .

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on May 26, 1903 .
