IC 2995 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Hydra south of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 74 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 70,000 light years across. Together with four other galaxies, it forms the NGC 4105 group ( LGG 270 ).
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on December 30, 1898 .
