IC 3008 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sb in the constellation Haar der Berenike in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 309 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 80,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies IC 3004 , IC 3017 , IC 3018 , IC 3019 .
The object was discovered by Royal Frost on May 7, 1904 .
