IC 3013 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type SD in the constellation Virgo to the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 272 million light years from the Milky Way and about 70,000 light years across.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4083 , NGC 4119 , IC 3025 , IC 3037 .

The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 7, 1904 .
