IC 3013 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type SD in the constellation Virgo to the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 272 million light years from the Milky Way and about 70,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4083 , NGC 4119 , IC 3025 , IC 3037 .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 7, 1904 .
