IC 745 is an active , lenticular dwarf galaxy with a high rate of star formation of the Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 46 million light years from the Milky Way and about 10,000 light years across.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on April 22, 1892 .
