IC 756 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sc with an active galaxy core in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 276 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 150,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 4043 .
The object was discovered on April 19, 1893 by Stéphane Javelle .
