Idea and sound studio
The idea and sound studio in Basel is a Swiss recording studio that was founded in 2002 by Daniel Dettwiler .
structure
The company is registered as a sole proprietorship in the Swiss commercial register under the name idee & Klang Dettwiler.
Equipment and stylistic orientation
The studio mostly works with historical microphones and mixes on a CADAC G Console from 1974 using analog technology.
The studio is mainly active in the areas of jazz , world music and film music . Frequently returning customers are the composer Niki Reiser , the Basel jazz musician David Klein , the Swiss klezmer band Kolsimcha and Christian Zehnder.

In 2019, the studio organized the Sheer Pleasure of Sound conference in Basel, which took place in the Ideen und Klang Studio and at the Basel Jazz Campus . In addition to Daniel Dettwiler, Al Schmitt and George Massenburg were other lecturers.
