Iffeldorfer Master Concerts
The Iffeldorfer Meisterkonzerte are a series of concerts that have existed since 1990 and are mainly held in Iffeldorf in Upper Bavaria and are also attracting national attention.
history
The origins of the Iffeldorfer Master Concerts can be found in the cultural encounters at the Easter lakes organized by the sculptor Anton Ferstl and the gallery owner Egbert Greven in April 1990 , which lasted a long weekend. Soon afterwards a series of concerts with renowned artists as well as promising young musicians developed over the whole year. The first performing artists were the violinist Viktoria Mullova , the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and Loriot with his version of Carnival of the Animals . After twenty years, Greven handed over the artistic direction to Andrea Letzing ( Feßmann, who has been married since 2014 ) for personal reasons .
The radio station BR-Klassik reports on the master concerts and records them regularly for later broadcast.
organization
The organizer of the concerts is the “Kulturbegegegen an den Osterseen” e. V. The patron was the conductor Enoch zu Guttenberg .
Most of the concerts take place in the community center Iffeldorf with a view of the Osterseen , others also in the baroque hall and the basilica of the Benediktbeuern monastery .
