Ilse Strambowski

Ilse Strambowski (born January 10, 1931 in Hamm ) is a German theater and film actress .

Life

Ilse Strambowski lived in the GDR after 1949. After attending the State Drama School in Berlin (diploma in 1953) she was a member of the Cottbus State Theater from 1955 to 1959 . Here she played, among others, Miss Malizewska in the tragicomedy of the same name by Gabriela Zapolska . A performance for GDR television from 1958 has apparently been preserved. From 1959 to 1961 she played in Gera . Shortly before the Berlin Wall was built , she moved to West Germany, where she became a member of the ensemble at the Braunschweig State Theater from 1961 to 1965 . Until 1992 she played in various theaters in Germany, a. a. in Aachen and Austria . Since 1993 she says she has only worked for film and television. Today she lives in Cologne .
