Jack LaSota

John A. "Jack" LaSota junior (born October 19, 1941 in Paterson , New Jersey ) is an American lawyer and politician ( Democratic Party ).

Career

John A. LaSota Junior was born in Passaic County in 1941. His childhood was overshadowed by the Second World War . He attended Claremont Men's College in California . He then went to Arizona State University . He studied law at the University of Arizona , where he made his Bachelor of Laws in 1966 . He was a fellow of the Ford Foundation . In 1967 he graduated from Northwestern University (UI) in Illinois . He was then as Counsel for the Police Department in Phoenix ( Maricopa County operates). From 1973 to 1975 he was employed as Assistant Dean and Associate Professor at Arizona State University. LaSota was Chief Assistant Attorney General of Arizona from 1975 to 1978 and 1979. After Bruce Babbitt stepped down from his post as Attorney General of Arizona, LaSota was appointed as his successor in March 1978. He held the post until the end of 1978. From 1984 to 1986 he was Chief of Staff to Arizona Governor Bruce Babbitt. LaSota ran a law firm for 25 years. In 1989 he was appointed Judge per Tempore in the Maricopa County Superior Court.
