N. Warner Lee

N. Warner Lee (born June 5, 1937 in Terre Haute , Indiana ) is an American lawyer and politician ( Republican Party ).

Career

N. Warner Lee was born in Vigo County in 1937 . His childhood was overshadowed by the Second World War . Lee first attended Arizona State University and then went to University of Arizona , where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1960 . He then studied law at the Law Faculty of the University of Arizona. His Bachelor of Laws he made there in 1965. Lee began then after receiving his license to practice law in Arizona that year in Phoenix ( Maricopa County to practice). In the years that followed, he was admitted to the bar in various courts: in 1968 at the United States District Court for the District of Arizona , in 1970 at the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and in 1971 at the Supreme Court of the United States . From 1970 to 1974 he was assistant federal attorney . Lee was appointed Attorney General of Arizona in 1974 to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Gary K. Nelson . In the following elections for the post of Attorney General of Arizona, he suffered a defeat to the Democrat Bruce Babbitt and left office in 1975. He then resumed his practice as a lawyer in Phoenix.
