Jason Goldwatch

Jason Goldwatch (born September 1, 1976 in San Francisco ) is an American director who is best known for his music videos and commercials as well as documentaries about the hip-hop scene.

Life

Goldwatch attended the Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts (SOTA) in his hometown and then the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) in Los Angeles County . He worked for various production studios, including joining Satellite Films through Spike Jonze . He then toured as a videographer for the hip-hop band Dilated Peoples . In 2002 he teamed up with Peter Bittenbender, with whom he founded the creative studio and record label Decon in New York City in 2002 , where he himself is the executive, artistic director. He is known for numerous works with well-known artists and producers.
