Joseph John "Joe" Arlauckas (born July 20, 1965 in Rochester , New York) is a retired American basketball player . Mostly it was used as a power forward .
Career
Born in Rochester to Lithuanian immigrants, Arlauckas began his college career in 1983 with the Niagara Purple Eagles in the NCAA's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference . At 1987 NBA draft , he was the 74th pick by the Sacramento Kings selected, but came during the first half of the following season only to nine NBA -Einsätzen with the Kings, which is why he in December in the Italian Lega Basket Serie A to Snaidero Caserta changed and won the trophy straight away . In the 1995/96 season he achieved an average of 26.4 points per game, the highest value in the Euroleague and on February 15, 1996 he set a record in the highest European competition with 63 points in an away game against Virtus Bologna . With Real Madrid he won a second international title with the Eurocup in the 1996/97 season before he left the club for Greece in March 1998 . With the first division club AEK Athens he reached the final of the cup in January 1999, where his team was defeated by PAOK Thessaloniki with 54:71, Arlauckas himself was the best thrower of his team with 18 points. In December 1999 he signed for Aris Thessaloniki , where he let his career end.
