Johann Kaspar Sing (* 1651 in Braunau am Inn ; † February 16, 1729 in Munich ) was a Bavarian painter and Bavarian court painter to the electoral prince .

Life

Johann Kaspar Sing is listed in the master painter book of the electoral city of Munich. In 1698 he acquired the citizenship of Munich , later he was appointed Bavarian court painter to the electoral prince. He created numerous religious paintings, among others. for churches in old Bavaria , Swabia and Switzerland . Frequent clients were the Jesuits . His students included u. a. his nephew Franz Joseph Spiegler as well as A. Schwarzhuber and FJ Winter.

According to a marriage entry in the Munich parish church To Our Lady , he was married there on February 19, 1680.
