Joseph Paintsil (born February 1, 1998 in Accra ) is a Ghanaian football player .

Career

society

Paintsil first played for Tema Youth . In the summer of 2017 he came to Hungary on loan to Ferencváros Budapest . He made his debut in the Nemzeti Bajnokság in September 2017 when he started against Vasas Budapest on matchday eight of the 2017/18 season. In the game that Ferencváros won 5-2, he scored the goal to make it 1-1.

In May 2018 he scored two goals in one game for the first time against Diósgyőri VTK . At the end of the season, he had 25 league appearances to book in which he was able to score ten goals.

For the 2018/19 season he moved to Belgium for KRC Genk , where he received a contract that ran until June 2022.

National team

Paintsil made his debut for the Ghanaian national team in May 2017 when he started the friendly against Benin and was replaced by Zakaria Mumuni in the 23rd minute .

His brother Seth (* 1996) is also a soccer player and is under contract with FC Admira Wacker Mödling in Austria for the 2019/20 season .
