Mats Møller Dæhli (born March 2, 1995 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian football player . The midfielder is under contract with KRC Genk in Belgium and is a senior international .
Career
society
Møller Dæhli began his career in his hometown at FK Lyn Oslo , for whom he played until 2009 and 2011. In 2010 he played for a year at Stabæk IF . In 2011 he moved to Manchester United's youth team , where he stayed until the end of his youth.
In 2013 Møller Dæhli moved back to Norway for first division club Molde FK . On August 3, 2013, he came on for his first professional appearance in the 2-0 home game against Brann Bergen , when he came on for Daniel Chima Chukwu in the second half .
After twelve missions, he left the club during the winter break for Cardiff . For the English first division club Cardiff City , he played his first game on January 28, 2014 in the 2-0 defeat by Manchester United . On March 29, 2014, he scored his first goal in professional football in a 3-3 draw against West Bromwich Albion . At the end of the season Møller Dæhli rose with the team in the Football League Championship .
On January 1, 2015, Møller Dæhli moved to the Bundesliga for SC Freiburg . He made his debut on February 3, 2015 in the 1-0 defeat at Borussia Mönchengladbach . At the end of the season he was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga with the Breisgauer . In the following season he was only used twice due to a long injury break due to problems with the patellar tendon and managed to get promoted again with the team as second division champions.
For the second half of the 2016/17 season , Møller Dæhli was awarded to the second division club FC St. Pauli for a year and a half . At the beginning of December 2017 he had an operation on his groin and was out for two months.
For the 2018/19 season , FC St. Pauli took the option to buy and provided Møller Dæhli with a contract until June 30, 2021.
As a regular player, the Norwegian scored five goals and 15 assists in 86 competitive games for Hamburg and asked for a move to a European first division team in January 2020 in order to prove himself at a higher level. This was followed by a change to four-time Belgian national champion KRC Genk , where he received a three-year contract.
National team
Møller Dæhli went through from the U15 to all youth teams of the Norwegian Football Association . On November 15, 2013 he made his debut in the 2-1 defeat against Denmark for the senior team . He scored his first goal on October 10, 2014 in a 3-0 win over Malta .
