Jovana Jović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Јована Јовић ; born September 30, 1993 in Belgrade , as Jovana Jakšić, Serbian - Cyrillic Јована Јакшић ) is a Serbian tennis player .

Career

Jović plays mostly ITF tournaments, she has won 17 singles and four doubles titles so far. She has already competed several times in the qualification at Grand Slam tournaments ; In 2014 at the French Open she reached the peloton for the first time, but failed in the first round to Daniela Hantuchová .

So far, Jović has celebrated her greatest successes on the WTA Tour in Monterrey . There she reached the second round in 2013 ; In 2014 she even made it into the final, which she lost to her compatriot, former world number one Ana Ivanović , with 2: 6, 1: 6.

In 2014 Jović played for the first time for the Serbian Fed Cup team , for which she has won two doubles in five games so far.
