Juan Quintero - with full name Juan Fernando Quintero Paniagua (born January 18, 1993 in Medellín ) - is a Colombian football player .

Career

Juan Quintero was born in Medellín in 1993 . He began his footballing career in youth in the nearby town of Envigado with Envigado FC , where he played for various youth teams from 2004 to 2009 - like James Rodríguez , whom he describes as his "friend". In 2009 he was appointed to the club's first team for the first time. On August 2, 2009, he made his debut in a 3-2 loss to Santa Fe CD .

After some good performances in the Categoría Primera A , Colombia's first division, Atlético Nacional , one of the country's largest football clubs, took notice of the then 18-year-old and signed him in January 2012.
