Julia Weden (* 1968 in Hamburg ) is a German actress .

Career

After graduating from high school, Weden first worked as an assistant director at the Volkstheater in Vienna with Paulus Manker . Then she went to Berlin for two years to study at the Free University of Berlin . Finally, from 1990 to 1994, she completed her acting training at the Westphalian Drama School in Bochum. In her last year of study she was engaged for Jedermann at the Salzburg Festival . After completing her studies, she made her theatrical debut at the Bochumer Schauspielhaus in "Preparadise sorry now" by R.-W. Fassbinder as Mira Hindley , directed by Volker Schmaloer . This was followed by engagements at the Stadttheater Aachen, the Thalia Theater Hamburg , the Altonaer Theater , the Theater Haus im Park as well as the Theater im Zimmer and the Winterhuder Fährhaus , the Theater KONTRASTE and the Ohnsorg Theater . In the theater production “Schtonk” from 2020 she will be seen in the role of Freya von Hepp , produced by the Euro Tournee-Theater.

In addition to her stage work, Julia Weden has worked continuously since 1993 in many television series, in feature films and in some cinema productions, for example in the film adaptation of the life story of the Mann family "The Manns - A Century Novel " directed by Heinrich Breloer , in the Evelyn-Hamann- Special “Saitensprung”, in which she played the daughter of the well-known actress, with whom she worked several times in the following years.

Julia Weden has also been working as an acting lecturer since 2007. Among other things, she worked at the Stage School Hamburg from 2008 to 2013 and at the media academy in Hamburg from 2014 to 2020. She also works as a freelance coach.

During the Corona pandemic 2020 , Weden was involved in the Bei Call Art campaign .

Weden is a member of the Federal Drama Association (BFFS).
