The Niederaula District Court (until 1867 Niederaula Justice Office ) was a court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1832 to 1945, as a branch until 1968, with its seat in Niederaula .

history

With effect from January 15, 1832, the municipalities of Niederaula, Allendorf , Asbach , Beiershausen , Frielingen , Gersdorf , Gershausen , Goßmannsrode , Hattenbach , Heddersdorf , Holzheim , Kemmerode , Kerspenhausen , Kirchheim , Kleba , Kruspis , Mengshausen, which had previously belonged to the Hersfeld district court , became , Niederjossa , Oberstoppel , Reckerode , Reimboldshausen , Rotterterode , Solms , Starklos , Unterstoppel and Willingshain formed a new judicial office called the Niederaula judicial office.

After the annexation of Electorate Hesse by the Kingdom of Prussia in the German War in 1866, a royal ordinance was issued in June 1867 that reorganized the court system in the former Electorate of Hesse and the parts of the territory that were formerly part of the Kingdom of Bavaria. The previous judicial authorities were abolished on September 1, 1867 and replaced by local courts in the first, district courts in the second and a court of appeal in the third instance. As a result, the previous Justice Office Niederaula was converted into a district court and assigned to the district of the Rotenburg district court .

Due to the Courts Constitution Act , there was a change to the district of the newly established Kassel District Court with effect from October 1, 1879 , but the district of the Niederaula District Court itself remained unchanged.

On April 1, 1881, the two communities of Oberstoppel and Unterstoppel had to be handed over to the Burghaun district court .

In 1945 the Niederaula district court lost its independence and became a branch of the Bad Hersfeld district court . On July 1, 1968, this branch was closed.
