Jusuf El-Domiaty (born October 11, 1990 in Braunschweig , Lower Saxony ) is a German basketball player of Egyptian - Bosnian descent. El-Domiaty initially played basketball successfully in his hometown and became a junior national player there . From 2011 to 2016 he played in Bremerhaven, initially only with the cooperation partner Cuxhaven BasCats in the second division ProA and from the 2012/13 season firmly in the squad of the first division club Eisbären .

Career

El-Domiaty played in the youth teams of SG Braunschweig and by means of a double license also from 2006 in the men's team Spot Up Medien Baskets (SUM Baskets) in the ProB . After he had just managed to stay in the group of the 16 best European junior national teams at the European Championship finals in 2008 with the U18 national team, he played predominantly for the SUM Baskets in the ProB 2008/09 and only played sporadically in the junior basketball -Bundesliga in action. In the ProB 2009/10 he confirmed this with a playing time of almost 30 minutes and a good ten points per game and received his first short appearances in the first division team of the New York Phantoms in the top division basketball Bundesliga . After he did not get beyond it in the following season, he decided to change clubs in 2011.

From 2011 El-Domiaty was under contract in Bremerhaven . The first division club Eisbären initially passed it on to its cooperation partner BasCats from Cuxhaven in the second-highest division, 2nd Bundesliga ProA, in the 2011/12 season . In the ProA season 2011/12 , El-Domiaty was one of the strongest German players in the league and was named “Young Player of the Month January 2012” and at the end of the season as “Young Player of the Year” (2011/12 season). After he had three short appearances with the Eisbären in the top division in the basketball Bundesliga 2011/12 with the help of the double license , he was permanently taken over into the squad of the Bremerhaven first division team in the basketball Bundesliga 2012/13 .

In the 2014/2015 season he played 27 games, averaging around 3.3 points and 0.6 assists per game.

In the 2015/2016 season, Jusuf El-Domiaty returned to Bremerhaven for three months, he received a three-month contract with the Eisbären from September to early December to replace the injured Adam Ariel .

On July 21, 2016, El-Domiaty signed a contract with ProA league club Dresden Titans . With the Saxons he was relegated from the second division. From January 2018 he strengthened the team of SC Langenhagen in the second regional league. With the Lower Saxony he won the championship title, to which he contributed an average of 14.4 points per encounter. In July 2018 he was signed by SC Rist Wedel (2nd Bundesliga ProB). However, it was announced before the start of the season that he would have to miss the 2018/19 game year due to cartilage damage in his knee.
