Barre I cabinet

The Barre I cabinet was appointed on August 28, 1976 after Raymond Barre became Prime Minister on August 26, 1976 . The first Barre government replaced the Chirac I cabinet . In his government, Prime Minister Barre also assumed the important office of Minister for Economic Affairs and Finance and incorporated numerous tasks through state secretaries in his office. In addition, he created independent state secretariats for some government tasks. The cabinet was in office until March 30, 1977, when it was replaced by the Barre II cabinet .
