Raffarin II cabinet
The Cabinet Raffarin II was on 17 June 2002 to 30 March 2004, the 29th Government of the fifth French republic .
The government succeeded the Raffarin I cabinet , which had served as an interim government between presidential and parliamentary elections . After the newly formed electoral alliance Union pour la majorité présidentielle , from which the Union pour un mouvement populaire (UMP) emerged in November 2002 , had victoriously contested the parliamentary elections, Jean-Pierre Raffarin was once again commissioned as Prime Minister to form a government. On the same day, May 17, 2002, President Jacques Chirac also appointed the other members of the government. This was largely unchanged compared to the Raffarin I cabinet and was expanded to include a few ministers and state secretaries assigned to it.
The government resigned on March 30, 2004 after the right-wing lost the regional elections. It was succeeded by the Raffarin III cabinet .
