The Canton Anzin was a French canton in the Arrondissement of Valenciennes , in Nord and in the region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais . Its main town was Anzin . Jacques Marissiaux has been a representative in the General Council since 2002 (first DVG , then PS ).
As part of the reorganization of the French cantons in 2015, the canton was expanded to include the municipalities of Escautpont , Fresnes-sur-Escaut and Onnaing ; the municipality of Saint-Saulve , however, was assigned to the canton of Valenciennes .
