The Karawanken Autobahn A 11 is a motorway in Carinthia and part of the Europastraße 61 .

It begins at the Villach junction ( A 2 ) in a direct extension of the Tauern Autobahn (A 10) and leads through the Rosental to the Slovenian border. After only 21 km you have crossed the Karawanken . It is built with two lanes in each direction and mostly without hard shoulder. The A 11 ends at the state border with Slovenia in the middle of the 7.9 km long, single-tube Karawanken tunnel with two-way traffic until it is fully released in 2026 , for which a separate toll of currently 7.40 euros per vehicle directly on site or is to be paid as a video toll and for which block processing may also apply during the peak times of the holiday travel season .

On the Slovenian side, it will be continued as the A 2 motorway , which will take you to Ljubljana .
