The European Union equips the vehicles of its foreign missions with their own license plates . These differ from mission to mission and do not follow a uniform design.

Vehicles assigned to the EU in Brussels were given special Belgian license plates , which are no longer issued. The fleet of permanent EU representations usually has diplomatic license plates of the respective country. Military vehicles involved in EU missions also keep their native license plates.

The vehicles of the EULEX mission have white license plates with blue inscription. They only show digits. At the beginning of the shield there is the European flag with the letters EU in the star wreath, at the end there is another blue field with the letters LEX .
